Research: Camera Shot Types

As part of our research, we looked into different shot types and created examples of them. Some had come out well, whilst others were not so good; this helped us develop our understanding on shot types as well helping us notice mistake which we made so we do not do this again when creating our thriller opening.
This was supposed to be an example of an extreme close up shot, which is used to capture more detail, however it needed to be closer in order to be an extreme close up.

This is an example of a wide shot which is used to show the setting/area.
These two images are shots of feet taken in an interesting way. We used high angle shots to capture these pictures.

These two images break the Rule of Third as the model is on the edge of the picture and we cannot see what he is looking at. The top image has bad use of lighting.

This image is a good example of the Rule of Third being used well, as we can see what he is looking at. The lighting is also good.

These two images are over the shoulder shots. They are good because they show how people are conversing; they are also good to use for shot reverse shot.

This is an image with bad lighting; however the image did not come out too bad, although his face is still in the shadow.

This image is an example of a mid-shot however the lighting is not very good as we took the image by a window.
